This project was a collaborative effort between interior designer Irina Borovikova and me. The central concept and inspiration for the interior design of this 100 sq.m. apartment originated from the artwork "Afternoon" by a renowned Chinese-Italian artist Jingge Dong. The green tones and water lilies depicted in the piece served as our initial muse.
Drawing from the serene imagery of water lilies and lush greenery, we were led to the idea of Green Venice, le Marais poitevin, a picturesque region in western France. This vision inspired us to design the interior using a green color palette and exclusively natural, highly textured, and tactile materials.
The living room and kitchen merge together into a cozy space for morning routines and evening gatherings with friends and loved ones. We added a touch of mid-century feel with vintage elements.
Elements such as linen wallpaper, hardwood flooring, wood paneling, green marble, and glass were carefully selected to evoke the ambiance of Marais Poitevin.
France became our second major source of inspiration. As a result, the apartment features several vintage pieces by renowned French designers.
The airy champagne-colored accents and the warmth of natural stone create an atmosphere of serenity. This is a place for peaceful morning rituals and relaxing evenings.
