The space retains many of its original architectural features: historic parquet flooring, marble fireplaces in every room, large glass doors connecting the spaces, classic Haussmann windows, generous ceiling heights, and refined plaster detailing.
From the beginning, the approach to the space has been thoughtful and deliberate. Each item in the apartment has been carefully sourced and selected, contributing to a calm and balanced atmosphere that reflects the client’s refined and understated taste.
With so much of the original character preserved, the apartment offers an exceptional foundation for a carefully considered interior.
The initial brief was to create a minimalist interior incorporating pieces in the style of Louis XV and Louis XVI.
The project continues to evolve. The apartment is being furnished gradually, allowing time to find pieces that are truly distinctive and aligned with the client’s sensibility. This slower approach ensures that every addition feels natural within the space and contributes meaningfully to the overall composition.
As the project developed, however, antiques from slightly later periods were also introduced.
Rather than adhering strictly to one stylistic period, the interior gradually evolved to include pieces that share a common sense of elegance, proportion, and craftsmanship.
The apartment has a distinctly Parisian character, and preserving this atmosphere was an essential consideration throughout the project. Every element was selected with this in mind, ensuring that the interior remains closely connected to its architectural context.
